Since Microsoft upgraded Edge I can only get the channels that are presently on the air. If I try to log onto anything else I get Error 1431 and I'm told to restart browser and try again with the same result. This means that I am restricted to just the top row of choices. I cannot load an episode on any older programs. Please help. Thank you. QS

Thank you for sharing your Anyplace TV concerns and welcome to Rogers Community Forums!

 

It's quite disappointing that you can only see the live channels when you log in to Anyplace TV. I couldn't replicate the issue on a Windows 10 PC; I can use both the Edge and Chrome browsers to access Anyplace TV. 

 

When you logged into Anyplace TV, have you tried different menus like TVSHOWS, MOVIES, CHANNELS or GUIDE? Can you try accessing the channel you don't see on the home screen by using GUIDE?

hi guys
I wondering to know what the problem is in cisco hd box shows 65 tr in display no want reboot or following the reset instruction is any one have same problem
even Roger's want do any thing about it because is owned box . even technicians don't have any answer he said is problem of the box.

I can imagine how frustrating it is to experience issues with your purchased NextBox Terminal. We definitely want to assist you with this issue and try to find a solution for you.

 

Most issues are related to RF signals at the coaxial outlet rather than faulty hardware. We can test this rather easily if you have another TV set up inside your home. Simply connect the box that is not working to an outlet that currently has a working TV. If the NextBox starts working on that outlet then you know that there is no problem with the box.

 

Please use all of the same connectors as the working TV to rule out an issue with the coaxial cable. Let us know if the same error appears in another working outlet in the home.

TLC channel cannot be viewed on anyplace TV?

 

Wondering why I can’t watch TLC (channel 34 where I am) on anyplace TV? I get the error that this can only be viewed on your home network however I am home and using Rogers wifi ?

yes I tried to plugged in different outlet no luck it looks is no change to reboot the book it looks that code 65 tr come right way after that I plugged in my box. I dont think is problem of outlet I think is problem with box but I dont know if kind of this box have hard drive it means is only hd box is not a pvr. I tried to folllow to step was It mentioned to reboot the box it looks the box is not rebooting is only that can see is that code 65 tr.

Just wanted to confirm that you CAN view TLC in your Rogers anyplace TV ? Do you know if the rights to this channel vary by province ? I’m in Ontario and cannot access this channel ... if you’re in Ontario and can maybe I need to call Rogers to fix this ? Thanks !

As I mentioned in post 10 of this thread, I can see/view TLC on my Chrome Browser on my computer.  I'm in Ontario.

 

When I try to view TLC (34) on my iPad (Anyplace App), it's greyed out and I get the message about needing to use my home internet, which I am on.  Seems to be some sort of provisioning issue that Rogers needs to sort out.

yes I am happy to get help but Roger's ask mevto get new box but I am not able to get new box and paying for rental 70 $ for basic cable is a lot I just want keep mine if I get solution.

Hooking up a nextbox pvr to Kenwood VR410 receviver No HDMI ports

I have an older Kenwood receiver that I am trying to use to be the intermediary unit between my Nextbox PVR and Smart HD TV (Vizio). The Nextbox and the TV have multiple ways to accomplish this as they are only a year old but the 2008 receiver is another animal. There are connections for composite cables (red/white audio, yellow video) but no component or HDMI slots. I have access to S-Video ports as well as digital but that is where it ends (see link next)

https://www.crutchfield.com/S-yt4OZKJa7vW/p_113VR410/Kenwood-VR-410.html  I believe that I have no choice but to run composite audio and perhaps s-video from the Nextbox to the AVR (not sure what ports to use) and then similar cabling from the AVR from its monitor slot, to the TV. Right now I have the Nextbox hooked directly to the TV via HDMI as both of those units offer that ability. Please don't tell me to buy a newer AVR as I want to use this one if possible and there must be a solution out there. The main thrust here is to be able to use the speakers attached to the AVR instead of listening to the less than satisfactory ones in the TV. Hope someone with past knowledge of these types of AVR can assist me! Some connection arrows on the picture of the AVR would be a definite plus. Thanks in advance.

There may be several ways you can go. 

 

1. Keep the HDMI connection to the TV and connect the optical out from the TV to the optical in on the AVR. You'll need to set the TV's audio user menu to use "external speakers" and perhaps set it to "Dolby Digital or passthrough or Raw" or whatever to get the best audio. Most TVs will "pass" the audio from the HDMI input to the optical output, but not all. See the following FAQ, item 4 regarding this topic:  You will need to set the AVR to the appropriate optical input to hear the audio. Do not send the video through the AVR since that will degrade the video signal.

2. Connect the Rogers box via optical direct to the optical input on the AVR.  I can't remember if you need to change a setting in the Rogers box to ensure that the optical port is "active".

 

3. Connect the analogue audio (red/white) cables from the Rogers box to the AVR's analogue audio inputs. Tune to that input.  This, of course is only analogue audio and is not as good as optical and won't give DD5.1.

I can't watch AnyplaceTV on my PC running Chrome for a week now. Works fine on Android.

 

I tried the date/time thing in the first post, didn't do anything. How else does Rogers plan on wasting my time today. I'm eagerly awaiting the clear fix to my problem.

 

Should I call an 800 number and spend 20 minutes of quality time with your IVR before a rep pretends like he doesn't know this is a problem and then proceeds to go through an inane troubleshooting checklist. Is that what I should do, Rogers?

Fixed my changing my time to something incorrect and then resetting it with the internet time function.

I have lost my remote control. Anybody know how to replace it, and if there is a fee?

Also, if I cancel the service and don't have the remote then is there a fee when I return the rental box?

I can imagine how frustrating it must be not being able to view the AnyPlace TV service on your PC. It is certainly not our intention to waste any of your time but troubleshooting is required to better understand your situation.

 

If the service works fine on your Android device then it is most likely an issue with your PC or the Chrome browser you are using.

  • Does it work on another PC using Chrome or any other browser?
  • Have you tried another browser with the same results?
  • If another browser is not an option, please use Incognito mode on Google Chrome and see if the same error is persistent.
  • If it works on Incognito mode then please clear the cookies and the internet data cache on Google Chrome and try again.

I got it to work. It's my VPN. If I disable it then the page loads OK. It's still odd though that this is the only page it happens on. I've been using the same VPN for a few years now and never had this problem before and I don't like disabling it.

Edit: Upon further experimenting I found that the culprit is PIA Mace, a tracking blocker in the Private Internet Access VPN Privacy settings. It turns out, I don't have to disable my VPN. I just have to disable PIA Mace. Anybody else that uses PIA VPN and having the same problem, that should fix it for you.

Typically, the replacement fee is $25. If it's for Ignite TV, we’ll send you an Ignite TV Remote replacement by courier. You’ll receive it within 2 to 4 business days. Considering our current pandemic these timelines may be extended.

 

For a regular digital terminal, you may be able to obtain one from a third-party as indicated earlier in this thread. When you return a rental cable box, you're expected to send back the remote as well.

I noticed that Rogers was finally able to renew carriage of CNBC, MSNBC and Golf.   Congrats and good job negotiating with the supplier.    CNBC is provided in HD on Ignite TV,  can it also be provided in HD on NextBox?
