I guess digital tv has limitation of bandwidth but IPTV doesn’t (it is Internet server based). I can see more HD content on Ignite TV like BBC World News HD, CNN International HD, CNBC HD, MSNBC HD

I noticed not all shows have all the episodes. For example all season and all episodes appear for Game of Thrones and Private Eyes but for Chicago Fire the only episode it shows is the final show of the last season. Why do some shows have all seasons/episodes but others don't?

: When Rogers purchase the rights for OD programming, these rights typically have a time limit, so that limit can expire.  Also, not all programming is available OD for certain reasons - sometimes there are exclusive agreements between the rights holder and someone else, or perhaps rights based on geography, etc.

Sometimes, there are simply mistakes made and if you believe it's a mistake, say like a single missing episode in the middle of a season, please report it to Rogers.  I find the Contact us or "Share a Concern" links to be useful in this regard:

Offered the Ignite services with a $150.00 installation fee????

Then decided they would give me the isnstllation for $50.00 ????

I have been a Rogers customer for over 20 years....Time to move to Bell Wireless internet  which I have been considering for the last several months...and NO INSTALLATION CHARGE to boot!!!

Enough of this gouging from Rogers  . I had Rogers VIP and when i was switched over to the new package I lost  -5 channels which i enjoyed  and had to pay extra to get them back. Of course Rogers lost the battle with CRTC on their packaging and blamed the loss of my VIP on them....can you imagine.???

I understood Exactly what Stoneball was asking no need to be rude. It's very clear there is a difference between adding favorite shows to a Playlist vs. programming channels. I'm trying to find the same answer.

While soccer is still a relatively niche sport compared to hockey or the CFL on Canadian TV, it’s still a tough loss for Sportsnet, which has long trumpeted its EPL package Burger king survey

I don't seem to get anything under the category of "Digital TV packages".

Is there a problem with the site?

Ignite TV Feedback

I just received an offer for Ignite tv which would cost me the same as what I pay now for cable and internet. I currently have the 1 gig plan.

if it matters the tv is about 10 feet away from the modem.

So my question is can I get an honest as possible answer about the reliability and quality of Ignite tv.

Basically I want to know is it worth switching or not.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Hi !

We tried to reproduce this issue with the website but it's working just fine for us. It doesn't seem to be a server side issue.

What browser are you using? Is it fully up to date? Have you tried clearing cookies/cache as of yet? If updating and clearing cache doesn't resolve it, please let us know. Smiley Happy

CHROME - with cookie and Ad blockers!

Ok... I got it.  I used the Firefox browser without blockers to get access.

I have changed my TV selection.

I suggest you check out the IgniteTV forum, link below:

There is already lots of feedback in those threads.  I suggest you make a list of "must haves" and make sure it'll meet your needs.  There were definitely some teething pains, but they are mostly gone, provided the installation is done properly and you have a good signal at your home.

I use Firefox with Content Blocking on the web. I had to disable it for Rogers because a lot of stuff wouldn't work.

It is a pain. I can remember when I was not even able to get my Rogers Bill online because of my Ad blockers.

My view is that when trying to deal with a company about their "service", there should be no need to get advertisements.

I am using ignite tv by wifi only since beta at work on 5g wifi. No issues for me at all. My TV is over 20 feet away and around a corner. I've had zero issues. I was skeptical as well. Just make sure your modem is in a non cluttered place and it will be fine. I use gigabit internet and stream to twitch. While online gaming and my TV is perfectly clear no issues

We are all in agreement that it is a tough loss for canadian soccer fans, no one on here is happy to see soccer leave conventional cable tv channels, so even though we gave an explanation of why soccer is not on conventional cable it does not mean we are okay with this explanation, we all miss it too but we understand people with deep pockets and influence these things and we have no say in them we can only vent and express our frustration

There are many websites that don't work properly if you have certain extensions or blockers.  Always keep at least one "clean" browser for these websites.  Many of your recent Rogers threads/posts would be unnecessary if you followed this advice.

I'm fairly new to Ignite TV and I have to say we were sucked in by a sales pitch, wish I would have seen this sooner.

What BorisYYZ said is still on going they never bother to fix any of his concerns. I still have TV programs skipping back and forth when watching, a half hour show often takes 40 minuets to get through, its because of the amount of time it skips back in the program. Also they told me that the router will have great range, that's a lie. My router is 30 feet away from a Ignite box and it needs a booster to work. They told me this would work, that's a lie every time I turn on that TV it has a purple haze over what is on so I have to reset the box by unplugging it and plugging it back in (resetting takes around 5 minutes each time). And once this is done 50% of the time it still freezes up the program making it stop playing and then it rewinds and tries again so most times i just shut it off. Not sure why I have it.

They say you can record your programs and watch them later. Half the time it won't play what you recorded so it goes to rogers on demand and you can't fast forward, so whats the point in recording it.

BUT when you can watch what you recorded the fast forward feature is VERY choppy making it hard almost impossible to get it to stop where you want it to. Also many times when fast forwarding it shows no progress on the screen so you don't know where you are on the program.

AS far as saying that gaming wont affect your TV viewing that's a lie. I can tell as soon as my son gets up in the morning (X-box or play station 4) the ignite box viewing starts skipping. If you want to watch something make sure you start 10 minutes before your program starts because its very slow to respond some times often can't find it.

So with this said I highly recommend that YOU STAY AWAY FROM IGNITE TV. I know that as soon as my contract is up I will be looking for something else maybe back to regular cable or maybe Bell TV because after having this Bell's system will seem much better then it was last time we had it.

It will just be another rogers thing that i have to drop. First my 4 cell phones and now possibly my TV viewing.

If Rogers really cared about its customer they would have fixed what BorisYYZ  brought up instead of just selling the same troubles to us. Maybe stop putting your money in to buying sport teams and work on making your Ignite system better. Hire a programmer, get it right god knows the amount of money we pay we should get a decent product.
