Hello
We will be glad to assist with the issue you are having. Rebooting the box should resolve the issue. If it does not, we can run a test on your cable line to check and see if there are any signal issues and proceed from there. Which area are you in? Please let us know! We await your response.
Thank you

Yes, Shomi problems this evening. Aside from intermittent glitches though, this is the first time I've had big problems with Shomi since the rollout of Navigatr. Called into technical support and an automated message said there are problems with On Demand services in Ontario this evening,

Now you don't supose this (link below) has anything to do with the Shomi issues today do you?
Couldn't possibly be that Rogers didn't put enough horsepower behind their servers for this "public" rollout?

No one will listen to us in outer slobovia. Perhaps when hundreds of thousands of city dwellers start complaining some of the deaf ears at Rogers will perk up. Where on earth do these executives live that they are so oblivious to the problems?
For now, we are on our own.
Giving this a Like is just not enough. I need to quote and repeat it. There are just not enough of us to set Rogers on fire, but should some exec's kid be upset with the new guide, things would move much faster - although the stuff going on Facebook made my morning... thanks for the link.
Re: New Nextbox Navigator
Check out the fun and games at Rogers Facebook page.

This is my favourite response:
we're sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the new cable interface! We are listening to the feedback received & hope you enjoy the updates being made to enhance the enjoyment of the software. - André
Sounds like it was written by the same guy who writes Stephen Harper's talking points.

I can confirm that is not the case. Once we are ready to begin the Navigatr rollout to the remaining cities, Navigatr will be uploaded to all eligible equipment unabated.

I am really am saddened to hear this. There was once a time when Rogers would actually listen to customers feedback and provide some accomodations in alleviating the issues. One such example was the Rogers Quick Start Guide. Customers were incensed over this and Rogers made some accomodations. In all of my time with Rogers, I have never seen such anger with customers as I have seen with Navigatr and it has only been rolled out in one area. I think you owe it to you customers to either cancel Navigatr or, at the very least, provide us with an explanation as to why Navigatr must be "uploaded to all eligible equipment unabated." A little transparency here might go a long way!
Re: New Nextbox Navigator
Guess whose NB3 machine got zapped ?
All programs wiped out. PVR at 0% full this afternoon.
Must have wiped the HD sometime earlier today or in the wee hours.
Angry spouse called Rogers, asking what happened and when can we get the old guide back.
The nice CSR authorized a swap out.
We noted that it records OK now. She said swap it, likely to lose its recordings in future !
We sais OK and asked to note it on our file.
Got the replacement at the nearby Rogers store, fortunately less than a km away.
Rogers employee said he had many people come in to get a replacement machine, today.
Dug a bit deeper, apparently there was an "update" to Navikrap last nite and some machines did not take.
Came home, booted my machine.
Was not authorized to view any channels.
Called and nice CSR authorized it and we were up and running.
I thanked her and mentioned that there were some benefits due ?
She quickly authorized the usual bill credit and on-demand credits.
We commiserated about Navikrap. She was very good and could recite the FAQ perfectly.
Progress. The Navikrap virus can now destroy NB3s as well as NB2s !!
Rogers is in damage (un)control mode.
If they can zap machines with the improved Navikrap virus, why not do it with the old software ?
Go way and test the new junk on a few dozen paid victims, not with a million+ people !

What the . is "unabated"? Can't find that word in my dictionary!
NextBox3 keeps updating - stuck on DNLD
Re: New Nextbox Navigator
I am starting to think - too many of us complaining = zap!
Re: New Nextbox Navigator
"the storm was raging unabated"

Yes, scary much !
Fortunately had not cancelled other services with Rogers yet, as the bill credit on a zero TV bill is still zero.
Gonna miss some movies that we have saved and 15 editions of COAST that TVO will probably re-broadcast in a few months. Plus will have to watch some TV live as we rebuild the weekly collection of shows.
